The Ford Thames 400E Owners Club
The Club is for owners of the Ford Thames 400E and those interested in all derivatives of this vehicle. It is run as a voluntary organisation, and is not a business.
Club membership provides access to information and advice on all aspects of the Ford 400E including technical matters, and access to historic records, and information. (See update below)
The club holds a selection of spares for purchase by members.
There is a discounted insurance scheme for club member’s vehicles.
A magazine called Thamesline is sent out around four times a year to the membership with general interesting information, technical tips, and details of the club spares. Members can submit classified ads for Thames related items, both for sale, and wanted, free of charge.

I am writing to provide an update as to where we are with the club.
The club is still not running because key to it operating is a club parts service. We need someone to help by storing and running this service. It can either be done by someone with the club funding the spares and the operator making a small commission for operating it, or, it could be run by someone as their own business with them keeping the profit.

20-4-22 Club update.
Dear Ford 400e & 800 Club Member & enthusiast,
I am writing to provide an update as to where we are with the club.
We have about 90 people interested in the club continuing. Unfortunately, we have not had any confirmed offers of help to run the club.
Key to the club was obtaining the spares and finding someone who is able to store and operate a club parts service.
We have set up a bank account and have the offers of some loans to buy the spares. I have made an offer to purchase the spares from Sandy which is in progress. Once we have secured the spares and have found someone to administer the sales of them, they will be available to Club members.
If anyone is available to help please contact me for a discussion, and we will update you again when we can confirm we have secured the spares, and the future of the club.

1-3-22 Club update.
Dear Ford 400e, 800 enthusiast,
We are writing to update you on what is happening with the club.
Sandy stood down from operating the club and providing spares from yesterday 28th February 22. We would like to thank him for his years of service operating the club, selling the spares, providing advice, and wish him a happy retirement from this commitment. Please note: Sandy will only honour orders already received and paid for and will not be taking any more orders for parts and spares.
Having written to everyone on the club membership list we have received 66 responses back which is about 60% of the list. Thank you to those who have confirmed they would like the club to continue. (We will not be asking you for any membership fees until we know the future of the club).
We have had an offer of help from one person who is considering whether they can store and operate a spares service. If this happens and we have enough member we will enter into negotiations with Sandy to acquire the parts. This may take some time, but we will keep you informed.
If you are intending to support the club but have not returned your membership form please do so as soon as possible. The membership numbers could be a deciding factor in whether to continue operating the club and commit to acquiring the spares and information.
